Mathieu Alepin is a Canadian artist, screenwriter, director, singer-songwriter, and actor whose work spans film, performance art, acoustic and electronic music, and multimedia projects.

He is currently working on "The Intervention," his directorial feature debut. It is a comedy about two idiots who do an intervention on their friend.

Alepin directed, co-wrote, and co-starred in the festival touring short film “Farewell,” included in Telefilm Canada’s ‘Not Short On Talent.’ He also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in the short dark comedy “The Intervention."

His comedy/thriller screenplay “Dream Babies” was a semi-finalist at the Eerie Horror Film Festival 2016. It was 1st Runner Up in Fantastic Planet Film Festival’s 2015 screenplay competition in Sydney, Australia.

His first album "Seeds" was released in 2015. The album has laid-back organic acoustic and ethereal textures accompanied by thought-provoking lyrics that dig through the human condition.

Alepin graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in Creative Writing from Concordia University in Montreal and went on to study comedy writing and improvising at Second City and the Bad Dog theatre in Toronto.
